It began with a simple prayer:
"God lead us to people who need you."

Our Vision
That every person we encounter would find strength and hope in Jesus Christ, to rise up and follow Him, resulting in life transformation that brings both healing to the past and purpose for the future.

Our Mission
We strive to imitate the life and love of Christ by teaching, serving, and empowering the people of the Philippines and the different communities we are a part of.

Why the Philippines?
To understand the where, meet the why, TRIM founder, Leah Malone.
In November of 2012, Leah’s feet hit Philippines soil for the first time and she would never be the same. Her heart was forever touched as she walked the streets, observed the beautiful culture, and listened to the stories of people around her. She found herself falling in love with a land that would soon become her home. Four months later she moved to the Philippines full-time, answering God’s call to love and serve His people there.
After partnering with different organizations for her first 6 years overseas, God led Leah to start The Rising International Ministries in January 2019 as a means of meeting the specific and unique needs of the community around her. Leah is passionate about seeing opportunities for education combined with the hope of Gospel-centered discipleship saturated into places where others are not willing to go.
Our Core Values
These 5 core values serve as pillars to remind us what we stand for as a ministry, what is most important to us, and where we always want to strive to do better in the future.

Integrity
We feel called to give ourselves fully to the mission of God. We are committed to passionately serve Jesus Christ and His people sacrificially, and with excellence. We honor one another as higher than ourselves and we strive to be the same in the light of leadership as we are in our unseen moments with God. Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Corinthians 15:58, Proverbs 11:3

Biblical Truth
We choose to live and serve according to the truth found in Scripture. We intentionally allow this truth to shape the way we manage conflict, our relationships with one another, and the people we’re committed to love. 2 Timothy 3:16, Philippines 2:1-8

Discipleship
Because individual people mattered deeply to Jesus, they matter to us. We prioritize disciple making through relationship and modeling of biblical principles. We will always point them to Jesus, give them tools they need to be successful, and then get out of the way. Mark 9:35, 2 Peter 1:3-4, Matthew 18:12

Courage
We don’t back away from hard or dangerous places just because of the risk. We move in wisdom and discernment as we follow God boldly into hard to reach areas and love the people who are often mislabeled as a threat. Psalm 27:1, Isaiah 30:21, 2 Timothy 1:7

Stewardship
We are responsible with the resources entrusted to us (money, people, and time), recognizing they are God’s gift and provision and not our own. We will always be generous in our giving of care, time, and finances. Psalm 24:1, 1 Chronicles 29:12
We believe your present circumstances do not have to determine your future success. Nothing that has been done to you, spoken over you, or forced upon you simply because of your place of birth, is too big to stop you from reaching the God-given potential in your life.

You can always rise above.
